Complaints ProcedureWe operate a system according to NHS complaints procedure. A leaflet about this is obtainable from reception. If you have a complaint or concerns about the service you have received from a doctor or the staff in the practice, please write to the Practice Manager with your concerns. Patient Confidentiality And Data ProtectionWe ask for your personal information so that you can receive care and treatment. This information is recorded on computer and we are registered under the Data Protection Act. The practice will ensure that patient confidentiality is maintained at all times by all members of the practice team. However, for the effective functioning of the multi-disciplinary team it is necessary that medical information about you is shared between members of the practice team. Zero Tolerance Policy'Violence' means any incident where staff are abused, threatened or assaulted in circumstances relating to their work. Violence, verbal or physical abuse against staff working in the NHS is a crime. Any patient who is verbally or physically abusive towards the staff will be immediately removed from the practice list. The incident may also be reported to the police for further action. Freedom of Information Act.The Freedom of Information Act 2000 obliges the practice to produce a Publication Scheme. A Publication Scheme is a guide to the 'classes' of information the practice intends to routinely make available. This is available in paper format in the practice on request.
